Okay, people. The time for action is finally here.

In August, I am traveling to Kenya with the goal of interviewing and hiring a primary school teacher for Nairobi Children’s Home. Realistically, we will never be able to find sponsors for each individual child in NCH. Children are constantly coming and going and not everyone’s circumstances are suited for a sponsoring relationship. However, by shifting our focus to teachers, we will create a much larger, much more pervasive positive impact in the daily lives of the children who crave structure and stimulation. The benefits of having a motivated, energetic teacher on staff to lead lessons will extend throughout the entire home.

We need your help to make this possible. I am very pleased to announce that as of this morning our donation store, the Duka, is up and running. The Mugumo Project is now able to securely process your tax-deductible donations online! I encourage you to shop around and see the items that we need. Donate as many and as much as you would like. 100% of your contribution will go towards the Mugumo Project’s work in Kenya.
